I dug this today at an old farm field. I can see Nova Scotia and one cent but I can't see a date.. I've found pics online of 1860's NS cents but they all have a crown in the center, this coin seems to have fancy letters. Can anyone tell me what date range might be on this coin? Wow , very cool , looks like it was made into a " Love Token "

Yes it was engraved....classic example of what is known as a "Love Token" they can be found on all most all denominations and sizes of coins. More often than not it usually on a silver coin, but I have seen coppers as well.

Great find!....
The fact that it's engraved is way better than finding a date on it....
