Back on the potato field for another 4 hours worth . A truly amazing hunt for me. Cru said that there would be Gold next.. And after 30 mins of searching l get a South Ferriby type Gold Stater ..
From the Coritani Tribe again. later l find a Silver penny of Edward 1st , minted in London. And about 15 mins before l was fixing to leave for the day and completely unexpectedly there is a glint of Gold again, this time its bent a bit but who cares its a Gold Hammered, l'm still shaking !!
Turns out to be a Half Noble from Edward 3rd transitional period 1361 ad. All this on a field that l have been on many many times over the last 25 plus years. so it seems a site is never hunted out,!

Hammered Gold is by far the harder to find, but all Gold is rare. l have found over the years 13 Gold coins in total.. 9 Celtic 4 milled and just 1 Hammered

I sort of figured the hammered gold was a scarcer dig. Glad you were able to straighten out the bend, it's gorgeous. Congrats again, and on making the banner as well!
