Now, I'm ready if I finally blow my fuse.

Went out for about 4.5 hours today. It was more for just a nice long, Autumn walk, but, found a bit of clad and a couple surprises along the way. (Kind of like normal, eh? ;) )

The thingamajig up top, appears to be brass. No clue. :dontknow: It was really buried! About a foot down!

The lead was a surprise. I didn't expect to find anything like this where I was hunting. Looks like it must've hit a rock! :)

The dimes in the middle make me wonder, just how sure are we that silver stopped in 1964? ;)

Thanks for peeking!

HH!

Is that the top to a old distributor on a car? The dimes silver?? Nice walk!

12ga slug? And yeah might be an old rotor from a.cap and.rotor distribitor

Good day !

Yes some of those '65 dimes come out looking suspiciously like there is a percentage of silver in them.
However I have never read of any accidental overspill of silver into 1965 dimes.

I wish there was, I find allot of teasers from then.
Not sure if I ever saw any 66's come out looking clean.
BTW....your 66 looks like it has a circle on it

whisk will help that 66

Could the lead be a nipple cover?

I don't know bullets, but it looks more like the civil war bullets I have except it's been flattened! :dontknow:

As far as I know, no, the dimes aren't silver.

Could well be a rotor. But, it's got a very heavy green patina and was very deep. Maybe a model T? :dontknow:

You know how much the bullet weighs

Yes ill weigh a 3 ringer i have and a deer slug ill let youvknow

Good deal. Either way, there's a pretty heavy white patina so I know it's pretty old.

Thanks!

Don't know if it helps any but the first 3 weighed in around 31-35 grams. The "cannon" to the right weighed in at a whopping 45 grams!!! :)

The 2nd one had a reason to be a little lighter. It had been wormed.
