Now that's a good point
Samantha and Dad went out exploring around our new place in Va. this afternoon. The temps have been in the high 50's and today was an excellent day to explore. I had introduced myself to a couple neighbors who are farming the land behind us last week. We talked for a while, and they told me they had found some nice Native American artifacts through the years in the plowed sections of the field. We just started drying up after a good soaking rain so indeed today was a good time to look for some of those artifacts. It didn't take long (after Sammie fell asleep on my shoulder) I spotted the tell tale signs of quartz chips scattered about. I looked to my left and a good 20 yards away, stood this brilliant white stone resting on top of the recently plowed Virginia soil. As I approached closer, there was no doubt it was a point. A beautiful quartz point fully intact. I spent a little more time picking a few more when Samantha awoke and we headed home. Here are my finds today.
Enjoy!

Here's what I learned about Chalcedony Stones:
I tell you what, as a kid growing up in Georgia, there wasn't too much more exciting than going with my Uncle to the Rocky cliffs and banks and creeks around the county and finding our lion's share of Cherokee, Choctaw, Chickasaw and Creek made arrowheads. Those are some pretty points you got there and brings me back to my childhood! Congrats Mike!
