also found this in outhouse hole. It has no holes in it. I looks like someone has been beating on it with a small round hammer at some time in it's life. There are no threads so it doesnt screw onto anything. This thing is strange. Oh and all the bottles I found in The Hole were from late 1800's.

wagon wheel hub cover sounds good to me too. that would also explain the dents on the end. people tapping on it to get it of the wheel.

a malted milk top easily converted into "a potty chair catch pan" type part --- wide lipped top went into a slot and slid under the "hole" cut into a wooden chair---for use with a very elderly type person (or maybe a "potty chair for a youngun")---it was removed and the waste taken and dumped into the outhouse hole------the dents might have come from "banging" on it with a hammer or object to get the pooh stuck to it to come loose and fall into the hole of the out house---it might have slipped from some ones hand and "fell" in and sank --- hillbilly and poor type folks in the old days used to be quite creative and wasted very little stuff back then---however once it was lost no one was going in after it--- so it just "sat there" waiting for you all these years Ivan
