Does anybody know what the numbers 240 and 4 stamped on the back mean? It was an eye ball find in a site that we find coins from the mid to late 1800s, Civil War buttons and buckles etc. too.

Numbers like that will just be mould numbers which likely have no particular meaning except to the manufacturer. They're usually a good indication that the doll is antique though. Occasionally, the format of the numbers can be enough to identify the maker (for a doll expert at least).

I have dug a few Charlotte dolls with similar markings and never figured them out either. We need a doll collector on board lol.
