October Finds (Not To Bad)

The Silver Gods were alright this month. Harvested.
28-90's (21-64's,3 Franklins, 3 Walkers, 1 Seated (First Seated found)
107- 40's
4 Dimes (2 Mercs,2 Roosies)
40 War Nickels (My best month for Wars to date.
12 Buffs

So what's the date on the seated half and what condition is it in? Did you find it in a box or cwr?

Finding silver @ face is what makes this hobby so great!

I wouldn't call that "not too bad" at all... those are actually really good results in my book. What kind of volume did you go through to get that? I guess that's the real question to see whether it paid off or not.

Thanks for the nice words. The Seated is a 77S and is very rough, it's been in a many a pocket, it was found in a Brinks roll, my first Seated have also found 2 Barbers. I do app 30 boxes of nickels a month and 24 boxes of halves a month. Thanks again. Dennis.

Wow Dennis - I knew you were searching a box of nickels a day but I didn't realize you were searching so many half boxes each month also. Well I guess that helps explain your great month for halves also. :thumbsup:

I was thinking I might try to search 5 nickel and 5 cent boxes a week - maybe 3 of each during the week and 2 of each on weekends - and see if I can average about 40 (1 roll) silver nic's and 200 (4 rolls) of wheats each month.

But maybe that's a little too ambitious a goal for me because I tend to be kind of a slow searcher. I got 2 boxes of each for this weekend and so far I've only searched 1 nickel and 1 cent box and I've only just started the 2nd cent box. Well I'm going to give it a try anyway.

Thanks again. Actually this is my first month of searching that quanity of halves. I love nickels but it is just so hard to put together a pile of Silver with just nickels, dimes are horrible in my area and aren't worth my time, so nickels and halves for me. It is extremely hard to keep up the pace as far as hunting nickels, I lasted 8 months one other time and got burnt out. Good Luck. Dennis.
