Hello everyone! I'm brand new to the site and the world of metal detecting, recently purchased a Tesoro Compadre.

I'm on vacation and took the metal detector to a Florida beach for the second time, and dug out this fairly odd metal chunk, had to dig about a full foot deep in the sand and had to fight a lot of sharp seashells for it. Any idea what it could be? It looks like it got violently torn and scraped from something, made of multiple metals (copper n brass?) and its about 2-5 pounds or so heavy.
Regardless, I gotta say I'm hooked in metal detecting.

It's certainly got an interesting story behind it! Great find, can't wait to see what comes of this.
