Odd IH cent....

I ran across this target Saturday afternoon just before the rain set in...

A holed IH Cent that didn't ID where most other IH Cents do... I thought it was just an odd washer of some sort until I got it home and put the soap, water and toothbrush to it...

The best I can tell after straining the ole' eyeballs through the jewelers loop; Variety 1 - Copper-Nickel, Laurel Wreath Reverse, without Shield (1859 Only)....

Also, pulled an 1881 IH Cent a few holes before the holed one and the other stuff; from a couple of other previous digs...

Notice the flattened rim. Looks as if someone was going to make a coin ring out of it.

Regardless of the condition, you don't see too many '59 IH's coming out of the ground. Nice score man!!! :thumbsup:

You posted another brass ring in your photo, and it looks crudely made. I'd check the ring for any sort of detail from an IH penny left! :icon_sunny:
