I can' wait for BB and ME to let us know how they are, everyone stay safe batten down the hatches and have the boats standing by!

Here they say weather later thunderstorms (I don't believe it) then 40 degrees, winds oly going to be about 17 mph up to 24. Maybe it will start calming down dry up some and warm up

I just wish that it was going towrm up and dry up for Easter Sun. were having a ig egg hunt!

What's an "ig egg hunt?" We're just gonna have a plain ole Easter egg hunt, but if the "ig egg hunt" is better, we might consider it!

Part of the storm went through here an hour ago. The power went out for about that long too. More expected later tonight here in Shreveport but nothing like whats north of here in Ark and Missouri. Winds terrible here today. Blew over a 150 lb squirrel cage in my back yard. I used it to raise 3 baby squirrels last year and now its a feeding station for about 50 of their buddies. They love it and the doors are always open so squirrels can come and go. Got it set back up and food put out....they seemed to know they better load up on vittles so they would be full tonight during the storms.

Hope everybody else is safe and under cover!!

Got stopped on a backroad on the way home for 10 mins. or so. Straight road, big tree down across it. Lots of folks working on it to get it cut up and shoved off the highway. Wind is bad.

Ok here's the scoop:

Started raining last night at 11 PM rained hard, non-stop for the last 22 hours! We got 10.6 inches of rain in less than 18 hours. 52 county and state roads closed and a lot of city streets as well.

So far I have been BLESSED by GOD because our basement didn't leak and we JUST finished painting the walls after having our new ceramic tile floor put in last week! Yay!! Wife called me at 7:55 this AM stranded in the middle of the rain storm with a flat and two kids. Picked her up called AAA and 2 new tires later she is back on the road. We need to get her a sponsor, she drives like she is NASCAR!!!

Last I heard BB had to leave work ealy because he had water in his basement but he isn't answering his phone right now. I can tell you I saw a scuba tank and an underwater detector in the truck as he was driving away today!

So the weather man says more rain until mid day tomorrow then it should blow out of here. NO detecting for several days the ground is so wet if you step on it you sink to your ankles.

My dad in SW MO, who lives on a hillside in a 100+ year-old house, said he went down to check his basement, and the water is flowing through it like a river. He has a drainage pipe for it to go through, plus a sump pump if the pipe fails.

ME, you and yours and BB and his, please keep us posted. We're just windy down here, with a few showers and then ... your type weather approaching.l :P

The winds have been howling here all day. Hope it blows all the pine pollen away....that stuff was blowing like dust storms. No rain yet, but temp will be much lower for tomorrow night..down to 43. Hope everyone stays safe, high & dry. ME keep us posted of your area and of BB.

Actually it is still raining so floating away still isn't out of the question. We got 13 inches of rain in about 28 hours! That is a LOT of rain. Might not sound like a lot but what a mess it made.

sounds like lots of rain to me! Here where I live we don't get that in a year.....of course I lived in Ketchikan AK for 4 years and they get over 200 inches a year! One extreme to another I guess! So glad you are doing okay! Give me a call today and we will get that other issue figured out! ~hugs~
