OFFICIAL LA BAYOU HUNT - DETAIL UPDATES 4/4/08!!! Pg 14

One of my friends told me he wants to come but he is not a TN member. He would be a newbie as a deteterist and I convinced him that it would be a great place to see all the detectors people use and meet a bunch of good people. He has a budget detector but has never been taught anything about detecting so I will take care of that in short order. He and his A$$ are very likeable and will be a good addition to the mix of people coming.
Lets hear it for the neebies!!

Steve ;D

Tell him to log on to tnet. He'll enjoy it.That's all I was getting at in my post, just trying to up the membership.Bring anyone you want.

Hi Guys/Gals
It's been a while since I've checked in. I've been out getting practiced up doing alot of detectin. I just want to be prepared so NANA doesn't make me look foolish.LOL>
Kennie my hunting partner has BAILED out on me. My wife said she would go because she hates for me to have to go by myself. She is concerned about having nothing to do since she doesn't detect herself. My question is what activities will the A$$es be partaking in?
She doesn't want to be stuck in a motel room with nothing to do.

How is she on a nose flute?

? is that a Cajun Thang?

John, momentarily forget about the nose flute.

What does your wife like to do? What are her interests? Cooking, antiquing, hunting, fishing, gambling, reading, relaxing, ??

Let me know so I can get some ideas set up for her. There's lots of places and things to do around here. Other A$$es might want to drag her along with them, too.

Nope! Obviously you haven't gone thru all the posts and pics from our first two hunts(MO,Otterville and the CTH).I'm sure Roswellborn will jump in here shortly, seeing how she is the 'nose flute queen'.

Besides musical talents or lack of -- the last hunt there was gold panning to do and a trick roping class which some certain a$$'s were pretty good at, and the Otterville hunt there were stories of cats and plastic bags! LOL ya just gotta go back and read the stuff she will NOT BE BORED! ;D

!

Well, this hunt is 2.5 days long, not one. So a$$es might get bored. Charlie may not be around long enough to do his 'hangin' cat' thing. :-\ (I could listen to that tale another 20 times!)

HEY! WHAT DO THE A$$ES ENJOY DOING? GIVE ME SOME FEEDBACK! I KNOW YOU'RE OUT THERE SNOOPING!! WE'LL FIND SOMETHING FOR YOU TO DO THAT YOU'LL ENJOY IF YOU JUST LET US KNOW YOUR INTERESTS: Genealogy, antiques, reading, walking, cooking, planting, phoning, etc.

Just let us know!!!

I can't remember the plastic bag story - OR the "hangin' cat" thing. Dang!

As for the nose flutes... the real skinny is that I went to the first "midwest" group hunt - that was Otterville MO, practically in my back yard. Well, not knowing just how nuts this bunch was going to be, I thought I'd bring along my favorite all time, guar-on-teed, laugh-till-your-sides-hurt, icebreaker (that would be the nose flutes).

As it turned out, this bunch of folks really didn't need any ice-breaker, but it was sure fun to have 'em anyway. The hunters were busy huntin' so it was the "A$$es" that got the most "use" out of 'em. And the kids. I'm still amazed at the sheer volume that one kid got out of the thing. Amazing (I can't remember whose boy that was - nice kid, and a natural with it. I'm still impressed).

These things have been described as "the family reunion you *want* to go to" so... it's pretty spiffy, really.

HH - gettin' closer!
Nan

P.S.
Warsawdaddy, you know me too well lol
Nan

I can just imagine the cat story is enough to keep folks laughing and nose flutes?? rofl Too much fun I am sure. Sounds like everyone there is sure to have a great time....but we already knew that, didn't we!?

Copied the do not forget list last night sew I wouldn't forget. Went on a hunt yesterday and forgot digging tools. I think no I forgot to think. Had a good day any way found a Excelsior Boyscout shoe token dated July 1910,a tag that was silver plated at one time and a button that looks like it will date early 1800's. and I also got bail out the land owners swimming pool. Hows that for a Sunday afternoon. And also got invited back next Saturday for dinner. The house was built around 1914 on top of the location where another house was. The previous house burned.

I think...no, I forgot to think. rofl that is a good one! So often that is the case with me!

Can't wait to hear how you do where that house burned!! That ought to be great! Keep us updated!

Sounds like a great day,, I always get accused over packing taking to much and the --- What did you bring that for?! -- but I usually walk out with leaving something important --the camera the directions ;D

Hey  I'm back from soggy Georgia. Remember the 6 pairs of shoes? I needed my Cajun Reboks. I got webbed feet, and still quacking. :sign10: Talk about a small world, Cheese from the board is from that area, he is friends with my niece's step-brother, and the niece's father from Kansas is into MDing too. Pepper is from that area too, Cheese & I was going to hunt, but the weather prevented it from happening. Glad to be home again and I was glad to hear y'all were good. I did try to log on at the motel's computer, but their internet services were down.

Now it's back to work, gotta find out where the rest of the donations are...some said they were donating but I've not heard a peep from them. We still have 12 days! I'm getting on pins and needles/antz in my pantz. :sign10:
