Beagles and chickens mmmmmmmmmmm, she has never been around them yet so I don't know. She is only 2, I will have her lease and harness anyway. Sassy never rides in the back always shotgun

Bring her on! She and Daisy (black lab) and Pepper (unknown genealogy) should have fun ... until they all discover the chickens and turn into a pack mentality. We'll watch 'em closely! It's been a common problem on the farm.

What are beagles bred for? Blood-tracking? Always amazes me to realize dogs have specific traits that guide them to their purpose. We've had two dachshunds, both fiercely defensive. One paid the ultimate price and the other disappeared after venturing down to the highway, 1/2 mile away. The lab came home and the dachshund didn't. Broke our hearts. Last year. So, we just knew Daisy needed company, so we went out and found Pepper. Just a mutt, but chews on Daisy like she's her mama. Fun to watch. Gives Daisy LOTS of exercise every day. -Noodle

Ah,the terms of the 60's.I so enjoyed the sun worshipers/hippies/beatniks in Golden State Park,S.F.,CA on my way to work every morning.Went right thru Haight/Asbury.I'm probably the only one that can remember any of that,sorry I mentioned it.

We met a couple of the nicest folks today! RickyP and Laurie brought us a refer for the hunt and they stayed and visited for an hour or so. Ya'll are gonna love 'em!!! They fit RIGHT in!!!

And then they said we could keep the refer. How great is that!?? It'll be around for the hunt next year!!! They drove 3 hours one way to deliver that. Such great folks! Give 'em a hand!!!

You are too kind with your words. If anything, I need to be telling everyone how great you and Dan are, but they'll find out soon enough. Fellow TN'ers, you could accidently leave your detectors at home, and would never miss them. You can litteraly get lost in everything else, and wouldnt matter if you hunted or not. We really enjoyed our visit and wish it could have been longer. All Laurie could talk about on the way home, was Dr. Phil.. I think she's in love.

Good morning you smooth operator you!!! I'm off today and I have a list as long as my arm of things to get done. Your report of your trip yesterday sounds like we are in for some SERIOUS fun, hootin' and hollarin'. I'm glad Laurie is pumped up now, she'll see how much fun this metal detecting can be with all the crazy people that seem to want to dig in the ground alot!!!

I better go get started shopping at the stores....I'll be back later in the day and check on whats happening here. Glad you made your trip with the frig. What a great way to skip that test RR has in store......

Yes she is a trail dog and very good at it. My friends used her a few times to find thier deer harvest they could not locate. She found all 4 she was put on. Still at 2 she is all puppy and loves to play. She gives me LOTS of exercise every day lol
