Today got up to 69 degrees, so I took the water hose out to soak the ground around the shrubs and trees. The robins find that pretty cool of me, as they can do two things, get some mud to line their nest and listen for earth worms. This one would cock it's head and listen for a worm and then pull it out of the ground. I just think that's amazing how they can hear a worm moving below the ground and nail it without seeing were it's at. This one pulled out a couple I saw.

They are pretty amazing! I love to watch them hunt as well.

I'll bet it is their hearing AND the vibration in their legs. TTC
 

Due to all the rain we've had here, my driveway has literally hundreds of small (3-4") nightcrawlers laying on it. The robins are stuffed...LOL, and don't even care about them.
