Oh, the irony

Was walking through town with my detector on my shoulder going toward the old park. And what do I spy face up on the sidewalk?



It's some kind of cast novelty coin. As big as quarter but thicker. A harbinger for my hunt.



My best hunt so far this year. Three relatively clean Indian Heads. Can probably get them to look real nice with a little more work. Love the soil in the old park. The old coins look nice when you can find them.

Three great looking Indian Cents and all came with 1800's dates - well done !

Nice finds, love that novelty '78 IH.
If a local park is still giving up old IH's like that, then there has to be old silver there too.
