Ok...I can't believe I purchased this pinpointer...Sob

I thought the purchase of a Bounty Hunter pin pointer would enhance my detecting experience, unfortunately it just drove me crazy. No help at all..LOL

Me thinks I just tossed away 40 bucks. I should have got the Garrett ProPointer.

GoodyGuy, I agree with you on a deeper target. That is what I use mine for too. I also use mine on shallower targets to find the exact spot and probe and pop coins. I find the target with the probe and pop with a dull screwdriver pushed a little deeper beside the target. I can get coins to close to 3" this way.

I am not trying to contradict you but just add another use.

Thank you for your input, I guess I should have said "For use only when within 3 inches or less of your target"
I haven't coin-poped so I inadvertently overlooked that use.

I have a vibra-probe and absolutely love it! I have had signals driving me nuts, pick up a hand full of dirt and go around a hand full of dirt to find a B-B, or tiny rusty hunk of nail. I couldn't live without it!

I was amazed at the time saved with a pinpointer.
Beach sand, Tot-Lots chips. Way fast. I dig with mine in soft stuff.
Digging plugs, so nice to find if it's in the plug or still in the hole.
Sometimes the side of the hole.

I have 2 of the cheap HF units, when I find enough will buy the neat Garret that changes intensity when closer.
That seems like a real winner.

Yeah if you would have picked up a Pro-Pointer your problems would be solved.
