I have been hitting an old ww2 air corps training base that has opened up to our local hunters due to confusion in ownership and whos going to clean it up. Anyway lots of junk but no modern trash or coins so you can just dig to your hearts content and never know what you are going to find.Coins are few but I got some and they all date 1940 to 45 mostly 43 the year the base opened. Lots of 50 cal projectiles and casings, large shotgun type starting cartridges for air planes and an 81mm dummy mortar round. Lots of good diggins here but the ground is tough as it has not been plowed or disked for years. Here are a few finds.
