Old axe.i think 1860.s..???

......old axe i found at a house site that was on a 1878 map..it look.s like axes made in the 1860.s but not sure thought maybe somebody know.s axe.s here on tnet..thanks..ron

check out this diagram. I do most of my detecting in Maryland as well: Montgomery county. Lots of logging operations, especially up into the Appalachians.
