old blue lodge masonic ring

I found this masonic ring 3-5 inches deep at a friends house. I asked if it belonged to him and he told me it wasn't his! My friend is 94 years old and has lived there for a very long time. we would like to know approximate age. Anyone??

It is a blue lodge ring may have come from England as there is noG inside the compasses, may be around civil war time or slightly later . When the G was added is the key ,and my memory fails me. Bob Past Master and turtle + brother of the Beaver.

I don't know that a lodge would have a place to put it on display. You might give it to a Mason and see if he wants to rehab it and wear it? It could be as old as the guy on the coin as he was a Mason! M nty

I did some research on the dates. There is no firm date when the G was added . so this may have been civil war time ,later the G was added. Pm me please Bob
