Old Box

I saw this yesterday while antiquing. I wanted it but at $425.00 I decided to pass on it. Does anyone know if this box is authentic and it's approximate value? U.S.A. Hosp Dept. It is in great shape but missing what appeared to be a inside tray or shelf.

Interesting-I found some info for you, no pricing, but a start. Seems the lettering on "your" box is different from the examples I found.

Thanks for your response. That is the exact same box with different style lettering. When I posted the picture of the box a civil war collector contacted me and wanted to purchase it. I told him where it was for sale and where to find it. Ive seen items faked many times in the past and this one just doesn't have that look. I think it is the real deal and if it had been priced lower I would have taken a chance on it. Im headed toward the shop where it was for sale in the morning. I will stop by to see if it is still for sale. I bet it's not.
