Old Boy Scouts sterling ring and mystery piece of silver

Still trying to get into some silver coins behind a school. No luck with that but got over $3 in clad and more wheats. Also got this mystery piece of silver marked Mexico 925. Highlight was this deep sterling kids ring

Hmmm.... The slightly rounded edges on either end is what's throwing me - I'll guess it was some sort of ladies hair ornament ?
A wild a$$ guess if there ever was one.
