Old button, can you help?

Does anybody know or has seen this button before, backmark "Benedict & Burman Extra" the small cuff button I can't read, found this along with 5 large cents and a thimble and raw lead on my farm. Wondering if I had a civil war camp or something? Thanks...

Personaly Johngun, I dont think it's any type of way related. But, I love finding old buttons and, those are cool. so, I'd say modern civilian.

Benedict and Burnham is an old backmark. I'd date the button around 1830-40. But you need to provide us with a photo of the back too.
