Found the two buttons on a site that dates back possibly to mid 1800s. The eagle button seems to be a two piece with back missing. Any ideas on what era or uniform the buttons are from? Could not find much info on them in my research.

Great looking early-19thc 'Ball Button'. :hello2:
Your other button resembles a WWI US 'Great Seal' Button, but I feel it's simply an early-20thc US 'Patriotic' Coat Button.

Nice finds,
Dave
