David Preston Smith, has had a long career as an artist, including official status as sports artist for the Olympic Games and for the Canada Cup Hockey Series.
I have been a fan of his illustrations for a long time and has many prints that depict old interiors and colonial times.

how old do you think this piece is?thanks for your info

I dont know ...its really hard to tell from the photo....DPS has websites tho that you could go to and ask. I will see if I can find a good one for you.
On the other painting....I cant see the signature at all.Is there a close up picture of it.
