Old ceramic use and hallmark identification help?

Hi everybody! I picked up this interesting piece at a Good Will store the other day. I don't know what it's actually for, a planter, wash basin, compote or something else. I searched for the hallmark for hours and can't find a match either. Overall height is 10.5 inches with the bowl measuring 8.25 inches across.
My friend thought it was a goblet until he saw the size. I welcome any information from the wisest researchers on the planet, those of you here!:notworthy:

I'm no expert so this is just guesswork really. It looks handpainted and then glazed over during the production process. The cracks in the glaze indicate age and I would say it's about 75 to 100 years old. The makers and pattern marks plus the appearance of the piece look German to me. The stamped numbers indicate that it is unlikely to be much older. It's a nice piece.
