So my buddy introduced me to this site earlier in the year and I pulled 2 wheats out of it. I wrote as off as he pounded it with over. 50 silvers last year. But there was a lot of places that you have to crawl through to get to where he didn't go. I only have one picture of the circus from the early 50s and it's hard to pinpoint where everything was. Well today I figured it all out. I was out for a little less than two hours and ended up with 3 dimes(2 Rosie's and a merc) 2 old jeffs and 5 wheats. I know there is much more to find as well and I know where I'm going tommorow!!! Definitely a good day in my book. See yas all tommorow!![

A site like that should be loaded!! Keep at it!

Way to go. I have been hitting a park from the 1880's that was a fair grounds before that, it has been pounded since detectors were invented. I managed to pull an 1868 shield nickel from the roots of a tree last week. I pulled 2 wheats and a war nickel today so you never know!

Congratulations on the research and recovery. Looks like you have a good site!

Happy Hunting.

Thanks for the replies!!

I'm betting your buddy only scratched the surface of what is still waiting to be found!!! Good luck with an awesome looking spot!!!

Wow - good stuff , nice to have a productive site ! I wonder why so many heavily pounded sites give it up big time ?

I think after every winter here in northeast PA the frost moves the coins around for the good usually. Every year I hit the same sites in the spring and they always produce. Now I'm going back to the circus grounds. I'll post more later hopefully!

Looks like you have a nice spot to pound. If your not trying a smaller coil already it's time to slap one on

Think you owe your buddy a meal too:laughing7: Nice finds:occasion14:

Good digs, sounds like it can be a productive site

Nice job pulling some keepers

WTG Nepadigger7 ! :occasion14:

With the deep freeze in PA this past winter. I'm hitting all my old hotspots and doing pretty well.

I had a gas line leak and when they came to dig late february, they were digging ice chunks down to thirty inches.
when dirt like that thaws in the spring it just has to move stuff around. Hopefully laying all the silver coins and old coppers flat so i can find them easier.

You had a good day of digging there, should be plenty left to find.

Thanks for the replies yeah it's so thick I can only use my 5x8 coil in there. I had a tough time swinging that too!!
