Old coins in furniture?????

Just wondering if anyone has ever found any old coins that were lost in antique furniture. Please share if you have!

No, but I aint afraid to look for newer coins in a couch on the side of the road.

Mother in law had an upholstery shop ... I remember a couple mason jars with nothing but silver that came from antique furniture she recovered over the years. I used to help, but it was with the understanding that the coins were hers.

We had lots of old stuff come through that were filled with horse hair and moss ... so, you can imagine how old some of the coins were.

No gold coins that I know of, but quite a few rings ... including some with diamonds. She always returned the rings, but "kept the change."
