Old field new finds

I had a meeting for work this morning out near where I grew up and started hunting. After the meeting I road by the old house and saw the field I found my first point in was plowed .... It had corn growing about knee high but still could see a lot of exposed ground. Unfortunately I could only look for an hour but made out pretty good.
Found a few big ones probably knives

Found this broke piece it has an interesting groove in it almost like a flute not sure what it was I have found a few other pieces there before with a similar groove but haven't seen that in any other pics when looking it up. J believe the site is early woodland.

Any thoughts please share ...... Was a good day to reminisce a bit where I fell in love with this hobby. Wish I had made it out earlier when field was freshly plowed. Here's a few pics of everything I brought home .... All the pieces are either brokes or worked scrapers

The point with the concave stem any guesses on type I was thinking guilford stemmed at first but could it be a Savannah River narrow stem? Any body with more experience please share your thoughts. Here's a pic of point in referring too.

Dang Arrow, that looks like a good site, and you made some nice finds. I hope that spot is close enough that you can hit it on a regular basis. I think the point with the concave base you referenced could be called a Guilford Stemmed for lack of a better term. Both the Guilford's and Savannah Rivers are more southern than what we generally find here, but their influence certainly must be reflected in the points we find, plus the occasional points that traveled or traded their way into our area. The Bare Island points can have indented bases like that too, so who knows for sure what to call them? I would however consider those larger stemmed points with indented or thinned bases to be earlier in the sequence than the ones with un-thinned, or unfinished bases.
I think that shorter and broader point on the bottom left, in the group of seven shot is rather interesting. it looks like it has a nice ear or auricle remaining, and may be the most ancient of the lot?

Thanks Red your probably correct about the Savannah being to far north of the types mentioned Bare island would be the closest as far as geography goes. These were all found in Rising Sun , MD. The other point you commented on I agree I haven't found any others that thin or of that design I too believe it is prob the oldest of the group.

Awesome day you had. I have been super busy with a new job and haven't been able to get out. I am hoping to do some looking his weekend - I can only hope to have similar results!

Thats a pile for an hour. My hunts usually last 3-6 hours even if I dont find a thing. Plowed fields are a thing of the past here you are lucky if they even disc them anymore. Cover crop gets sprayed then they plant. Harvest they spray again then plant cover crop and thats it.
