I found this in the veggie garden today. Anyone have any idea what it might be. It was over 8" deep. I was thinking it might be an old ring off a halter used on mules or horses. ??? Didn't have much luck today. Didn't even find a penny. :'(

I didn't think about an ox yoke! Thanks, for looking tsgman.

What size is it across. I may be a bull's nose ring.
I used to put a ring through a bulls nose to control them. The bull always kept his eye on me after that. I think I heard him tell a cow he was biding his time. It has to be split somewhere though to work as a nose ring.

SKD, it is 2" across in all directions. It doesn't have a split. Better watch that bull or you might have to change your handle to SoreButtDayton.....lol

Watch out

Great advice pepper..I'll watch my .... and the bull. The size is about right for a nose ring and if there is a split it is very fine, usually with a very small set screw holding it.

But it is probably from a harness. Stili nice though.
