Appeared to be an old homesite in a historical area, but could only dig for an hour with my 7 yr old in tow.... Many old buried cans, etc. I thought it was a piece of an old plow

hmmmtry that rust remover i told you about, u know the time period of property?

I have no idea about time period.

Looks like part of an old leaf spring?? Might not be wide enough, though. Good luck!

Looks like a wood-splitting wedge to me. Sort of like this one, just not as used ...

Is it twisted a little ?? If it is I'd say broken lawnmower blade.

Too thick for a blade and is rounded

It seems it was about 6 " deep.... I'll get back to you on the reading. I just ordered a gold testing kit... & silver.... I want to make sure that good stuff doesn't slip by me.

More angles maybe? Does resemble a wedge to me

Im thinking of some type of a wedge also, just need some more shots and angles and dimensions.
