✅ SOLVED Old Hook Fixture

[VacantEyesBass]

Hey there. This find is nothing special or of value, but Ceredox and I did a quick dig in the non frozen spots of my yard a couple weeks back when we had some mild weather here in MA and found this. Looks like a prototypical coat hook/indoor duty hook or flower pot hook from the mid 1900s, but I figured I'd ask your opinions to see exactly what its purpose was.

Thanks for any info!

looks like what was used for the pulleys on a clothes line.

bolted one to the house and another on the shed
