Old key? Does anyone know anything about it?

I found an old key today that says "Independent Lock Co. Fitchburg Mass." And on the back says "D28175" And all I can find is it may have been from a push lock. I don't know how old it is or much about it at all. There are so many old things I keep finding out there.

2nd - If you haven't already - you might consider browsing Sub-Forums: Nevada for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state.

It's a key. That's all the information you will ever get. It's a modern style key, so it's not very old.

Check out eBay - they have some keys from this company posted, and you may find information there's that might give you a guess on date. Also google the company and see I'd they are still in business. If they are, their customer service department might have info.
