Went out to an old (1875) permission today..... no silver [emoji24] (I've hunted this place three times and no silver... odd) And about halfway into the hunt I found this old lock. It has four rivets and looks like it was made from two pieces. I'm not sure what time frame it's from. So I was wondering if you guys could identify it for me. Thanks in advance and HH!!!

Looks like it was cut.

You know what they say about locks, they only keep your true friends out

poor old thing doesn't look like it was a good piece of technology, kinda like an economical choice at the time...if you bought one today it would be from a $ store

Old RR Lock, late 1800's. That's my guess.

Nice find
Lots of people collect locks like that one.
Congrats

It's a "tinny"....as in made from pressed metal. Most similar to yours patend date anywhere from 1898 - 20's. Just a ballpark.

Congratualtions on the nice lock recovery!
