ok so i hit an 1860's CO mining town that was wiped out by an avalanche in 1912... in it's heyday it had a boardinghouse, 10-12 cabins, 12 tunnels, several hundred residents... the foundations are scattered but visible, as are the cabin sites... tons of old cans smashed everywhere...
but this is all i got... and i need help
here is the group...

I took measurements off my screen with a dial caliper and compared them to the dime for scale. The lead ball is for a .36 percussion revolver, the weapon of choice for miners, outlaws, and soldiers of the 1860's. It was dropped and lost, not fired. The bullet is a modern type for .44 caliber revolvers.

i should have clarified... the .44 caliber and tag were all from the mining site, which was also used by bootleggers during prohibition before the last vestiges of the town burned down then hunted until the 60s... the .36 cal came from my backyard in tulsa, oklahoma before the trip when my pool was being dug... about two feet down got some square nails, broken blue glass, hand-painted blue/white porcelain shards and that lead ball... thanks so much for your help...
