Old Pocket knife found

First hunt of the year, and I got a late 1800's to early 1900's pocket knife! It's corroded and rusted, but it's definitely a pocket knife :3.

I dont have a good recent find but my best last spring was this mid 60,s Star cap gun. Was really excited when I first thought it was a real revolver.

Yeah I seem to hear a lot about people thinking they had a real gun when they first dug it up. Seems to happen a lot :{

I got one today too. Mine was on a CW battlefield... but who knows when it ended up there. It does have a distinct emblem on it that may be copper. I'll get some pics and maybe someone can help date it?

How long is that? Also it looks curved to me......if so it may be a shaving razor....either way its cool

Great find! If you could us a little more info on what type of site it was and how old you think the site is, I m sure there are some knife buffs here who can give you a pretty good idea of what kind of knife it is and how old it may be.

Nice find! For someone who collects knives (not for historical value, just because I like then) I always like to see them come out of the ground!

Well, the site I found it in has produced a WWI button. It was 4-5inches deep, and is about 3.5 inches long.

I found a silver 1940 quarter as well As the button but lost them both being a dumb kid and not realizing how great the finds were (found them both last year) I know the button is in my house and I look for it daily. If I find it ill post. All I remember is it having some last names ( I think manufacturer names) on the back side which is how I found out it was for WWI. The front had like an eagle and some other designs if I remember correctly.

You know something I learned yesterday when I found the knife? I hunted that same area like 3 times and it still produces items! I think it's just about spent though and I need some new hunting grounds ;(
