Went out for my usual Sunday morning hunt for 2hrs to an 1880 school site that I've hit pretty hard over the past 3 years. I've been using the AT Pro for almost 2 years and I've just started to use the 'Pro-Coin' mode, so now I'm on a bit of a learning curve. The new program's taking some getting use to, but I think I might have the hang of it considering what I found.
The 'silver buckle' read 82 - 84 at a depth of 6" and there were nails all around it. I say 'silver' but it doesn't have a silver mark and there's no sign of rust or corrosion on the metal. I wonder if it might be made of 'coin silver'? I think it's likely made either of zinc or spelter, but I honestly don't know.
Thanks for looking and HH!
Dave
