Old schoolhouse produces 1835 capped bust half dime!!

Hit an old schoolhouse site in SE VA. First hour was lots of trash which normally sends me packing but the landowners young children showed an interest in detecting so I stuck around to teach them about the hobby and local history and low and behold we were able to save this beautiful 1835 capped bust half dime!!! Great coin and nice spending time with young ones interested in the hobby

that's a awesome find right there. Your story reminded me of a time I was detecting the playground at our local elementary school and a couple of kids showed up and followed me around asking all kinds of questions and showing an interest in the hobby. After turning up a few pennies and a couple of dimes, I dug a bracelet and quick as lightening one of those little turds grabbed it and they jumped on their bikes and hauled a$$, never to be seen again.

As you well know , the trash holds the treasure . MANY a relic hunter will not dig in heavy trash so that leaves the goods for those who do. Nice coin for sure .

I don’t know much about grading how would this grade if at all?
