From a 1850s site,made from brass or copper?, same thickness of a coin. any ideas?Is broken off something Is about 3" wide

Hey kuger,

I first encountered that lock in Korea. With all the Sino, Japanese, Korean history of interaction, I wouldn't be surprised if each country had a version of it. I know the Koreans are still making them.

Wow!I wonder who was responsible for the invention....I will have to look into that,I know they date WAYYYYYYYY back.I have been intrigued by them since the very first one I seen dug in a 1850's Chinese camp......something about Chinese artifacts....I am enamored with them!
