Detector(s) used
Teknetics G2 with 13" Ultimate coil, AKA Sorex Pro, Eurotek Pro, Garrett Pro pointer
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
I had sold my back-up detector Fisher 1266X and then my Teknetics G2 fritzed out on me, so I had to send it in for repairs. I have been looking at adding a Teknetics T2 SE as a back-up to my G2, so I pulled the trigger and bought one. I couldn't head south to my main relic hunting sites this weekend , so I went out Saturday to an old favorite local site. I and others have been hunting it for 20 years, but if you hunt hard it will almost always produce at least a bullet or two. I hit one small 5' X 5' area that produced 8 beautiful 58 cal droppped minies...one of a unusual variant. I am fired up to get the T2 SE down south this coming holiday weekend. Thanks for looking. HH'ing all!

Nice ones Bill. I'd say you will really like that detector at you know where. How deep were they? HH, Quindy.

Heh Quindy, Shallowest...1", deepest about 9". Hopefully the one land owner at the site I have been working for the past 6 months will have cut the grass down...if so I think the T2 can pull some deep relics. Plan on doing some scouting of some new sites also. This week can't go by fast enough for me.

Ah, I can never get enough of seeing recovered CW lead. Way to go.

Thanks Doug...I feel exactly the same way!

Congrats on the nice dropped bullets. I hope you didn't get any ticks.

Sweet Finds!! Can't wait to find my first CW Lead.

You were looking at a T-2 Special Edition as a backup to the G2? You need to be using that T-2 SE as your main detector! The G2 is a great machine but the T-2 SE is unbelievable in Boost Mode. Great Finds :icon_thumleft:

The T2 looks like a rocking relic machine. Congrats.

The T2 SE as a backup machine? That is a serious upgrade from a G2. If there is an item in the ground, the T2 SE will most likely find it. It will blow your mind on the right settings! The T2 SE is a serious machine for a professional detectorist.

Fishbone and Sentinel....The T2 Se is gonna have to PROVE to me it deserves to be my main machine over the G2. I have been relic hunting for 20 years and so far the G2 blows away my previous machines (Fisher 1266X, CZ-5, Tesoro Lobo and Whites Spectrum). This coming holiday weekend will be the ultimate test for the T2 as I will be hunting a site that I have been pounding for the past 6 months. From all I have read I have high expectations for it....hoping so! Bill

Put it on BP or CL mode. Those modes will get you really deep. I personally like BP. It really goes deep. CL and BP requires slower sweeps. Cl being the slowest. Good luck my friend! :icon_thumleft:

WTG that's a great looking pile of lead there.

Alway's love the CW lead.......Which one is the unusual variant :icon_scratch:
