Keep going back to this old staircase at a river spot..... this is why...... Silver 1885 British Threepence with Victoria Young Head Obverse (not pictured as light was fading fast) and a Silver 1914 Australian Threepence (scarce amongst collectors). Pics are poor sorry.
No gold today - infact no gold over the last few hunts but I'm still happy with these oldies. Just for the record I've been swinging the SS so slowly and got them both on a whisper - I reckon the eddies only have time to build up on these small targets if you go at snails pace. +Another nice old bottle that came up in a scoop load.

Nice - the gold could be even deeper - I have a few spots like that = silver coins down deep - little or no gold but I believe the gold could be even deeper there

Nice find!! I am still very new to MDing, but I live near some cliffs and there are very old staircases approx 100 years old plus, that I've been itching to try. This just helped confirm my gut fealing.

Thanks HH

Really awesome finds.:icon_thumleft:
