Tried some fields that were walking distance from my home. I spent 6 hours on a drilled & rolled field & its neighbour, Dad helped for 3 hours.
The more information we save from these fields the better, as it will soon be houses :P

17 Roman Bronze Coins
Tatty Roman Silver - keeps the streak alive :headbang:
2 Silver Sixpences
4 lead Tokens
1 Lead Cloth Seal
1 Lead Bag Seal - Venetian (I think), as it has the Winged Lion on both sides - pretty cool for a Bag seal, might have some age :icon_thumright:
Strange button with a blank front & a pretty back, someone having a bad button making day :laughing9: :dontknow:
Medieval Buckle & Belt Mounts
Broken Roman Mount
Dagger Chape
1719 Halfpenny (Geo I)

Just broke the 2000th Button barrier for this year so far...

Hey there Cru,
2000 buttons that puts things in perspective. :o Old stomping grounds or not can't say they aren't still producing. :headbang: It is amazing to me how much just metal period comes from you guy's ground. Not to mention the age.You find buttons like we find beer tabs over here. :laughing7: It be neat to know the total lbs. of just relic metal that is dug over there in one year. :o Good post as always.
Take Care,
Pete, :hello:

No, the first ever year you asked me to count was 2009 & was 3124. You must have asked on a record year, or we paid little notice :dontknow:

Ps. I only did this for you, it's all your fault. :tongue3: :laughing9:

Well I am glad that you got to 2000 anyway, thats a large number. 3124 is huge. But since you did not keep count of all the years before.....
