Maybe the residents of this town were really responsible when carrying money in public lol. Or possibly a coinshooter made their way through the town already.

Bass2448, that's an impressive collection of goodies. Definitely not a hunted out site at all. Maybe you have some hidden coin signals amongst all the ferrous metal that is pictured. Doing a great job. You'll find the coin when your coil crosses it. HH

Just wandering I thought there would be some out there just so many things in the ground cant take 2 steps before I hit something...Its rite by a river they use to load cotton onto river boats they also had a ferry near there...There is also a lot of privy holes there also.... any ideas...

Go back over the area's you have already hunted. After removing all that other stuff from the ground you may hear signals you missed that were masked by the larger objects you recovered. Nice finds by the way!

I've been hunting almost the same exact type of site recently.
I'm just now starting to uncover more coins.. After probably 40 hours of "cleaning" out other objects.
If there's a lot of small iron bits on the surface you could try raking them out of the way section by section.
1 thing I do is believe it or not use zero discrimination and listen very closely if you here what sounds like a target followed by an iron sound hit that spot from a few different angles to see if you can isolated whatever object may be masked.
