Old tree big sky

Survivor of many storms on this hilltop. I’m certainly no expert but I’d guess this old tree is approaching 150 years in that spot. The boulders are probably keeping it from blowing down. The shadow obscures it, but there is a hollow that 2 people could stand inside.

Cool shot .I love to see those big old monarchs that have survived throughout many events that have occurred in time

Could be even older like this section of a Douglas Fir thats in this tiny little nature and history shed at the local lake I stopped in on a bike ride this morning.

I live about an hours drive from Gettysburg PA And they have what they call witness trees .They think those trees where there when the battle took place .
