old woods copper

went hunting old section of woods today found what i think may be my first connecticut copper 1785 or 86 not sure hard to tell rough shape facing left for sure can,t tell if mailed or draped also found cool old button same size as copper silver coler flower type designe pics not to good only got cheap web cam

Two good finds! If you are pretty sure it's either 85 or 86 you should try to get some very good pictures to post. Those years have far fewer varieties than 87 so still may be possible to Id. Many for those years are on the rare side too. With that said, she is on the rough side, but a good find none the less.
 
That is a definite Connecticut copper. Congrats on getting your first. :icon_thumleft: Keep hitting that site and you will unearth some more Colonial candy.
