Oldest coin for me so far and lots more to come.....

Today I went to a new site here in Utah my grandfather told me about. He has a huge repository of history about Utah going back around 150 years as long as our family has been here. Turns out he has journal notes of old cities and mining camps all over the mountains & deserts. Long story short I checked out one of the cities I was reading about from the 1800s. Due to rain after a 2 hour drive to said location I was unable to detect but walked around the area and this is what I found sitting right on top just waiting for me to find...




Date is 1868 US Shield Nickel
Also found a gold ring in an old park 5.33 grams 14k

Can't wait to get back there....Next week sometime unless winter creeps in to fast

Yep... If that was on top, you should be finding a nice amount of coins waiting for you when you actually get to hunt!!! Looking forwadr to see what you pull out of there.
