Found another 'first' yesterday...1827 large cent. It was only 2 inches deep, probably because it was in an old garden area which undoubtedly had been tilled numerous times over the years. My 1865 2-cent piece has been dethroned!

Congrats on a really nice Large Cent.
The soil in that garden is very gentle.

Congrats on the first largie!!!!! :occasion14:

Congratualtions on the old copper recovery!

Great looking Large cent! I'm glad your first looks so pretty! Lol

Haha! No, that's actually the padded headset attached to my AT Pro. I carry my Shield .40 cal in a nylon holster...and where we were hunting, I'm glad I had it with me.

No Ken, this old cop can tell that that old cop put the coin on top of his headphones, which are wrapped around the handle of his detector. Its an old cop thing...Sub 8-)

PS: OldCop...that is a beautiful coin, congratulations.

Damn straight! LOL!

That's a great find.

Congrats OC on a fine accomplishment. The best part is that it's got nice detail. That doesn't happen too often

That LC is in great shape to have been in the ground that long. Congratulations !!

Congrats, Job well done :icon_thumright:

I can see that now. I guess that would make a pretty small holster compared to the size of the coin. BTW my Glock .40 usually accompanies me.
