I learned how to operate a manual tranny on a machine like that. I was like.maybe 12 or 13 years old? I found out early popping the clutch with a plow off the ground is kind of cool.

I've got a grandson that would love to have that! Nice pic.

I love ole tractors and that’s a nice looking one!

A dealer managed a near monopoly somehow back in my hometown with Oliver's.
They came in by rail.
Forgot what year( s) they used a pressed crankshaft that gave some trouble with fractures....
Still see them for sale now and then and some representatives at pulls.

Local 4th of July show here had none though....

I got my tractor training at the age of 12.
On my first attempt, I plowed through nearly 50 feet of chain linked fence.
The owners of both the tractor and the fence were rather 'disappointed' in my performance.
The tractor didn't understand my command "Whoa !!"
Don..

When it didn't listen to "Whoa!" you shoulda tried "GEE!" or "HAW!" depending on which way you needed to go to miss the fence. :laughing7:

One of the first tractors I drove was an Oliver, but don't remember much beyond the name. Geeez, that was a long time ago.
