omega gun toy or real?

found this behind what was an old store in the early 1900's.

Muddy, I had been eying this place for yrs.The store/ house has been gone for ages, just the stone foundation left. under tons of briars. I HATE briars! dug up some daffodils there about 6 yrs ago & found an old bottle under them. they are widening the road by it now, & I'm afraid if I don't work it now, it might soon be too late. the hill behind the foundation has lots of rock lined paths leading to the gully. I took the md but it's not a very good one & it was beeping every few seconds with barb wire. so I turned it off & just explored. Found the gun before I turned it off tho. It was only a couple of " down. am gonna go back & go down the gorge further to look for bottles.
Al. I was wondering that myself.

Very cool find, I agree if there are groves in the barrel then that will prove that it is real.
