Hi all,

Today is shaping up to be a beautiful day here in St. Lou with temps hitting the 60's..still VERY muddy though from flooding rains over the last 2 weeks, but still possible to hunt the higher areas.

This morning I got out early and went to a couple of grade schools, one had a soccer field in back that held a decent amount of quarters. I also found another dollar coin in the playground chips (my 5th one in the last 2 weeks!) This one was a George Washington dollar, but I wanted to show the other side for once (nicest looking side of the coin IMO).

The next school had a small ball field with lots of mud, but also a good amount of quarters. I also found a silver dollar sized token..the date 1789 was on it and had me wishing it was actually from that time, but I'll take what I can get..if anyone knows anything about this token please let me know, it's amazing how something this large could get lost :icon_scratch: ???

My total was 29 quarters, 12 dimes, 5 nickels, 25 pennies, a $1 coin. I also found a pendant and a flag pin (not in photo) and a piece of a shotgun shell. No rings today.

Thanks for the info Ty..however the reverse is a different design, and the one on the ebay link is only as big as a quarter (like the Susan B. Anthony dollar coin). Mine is as large as a silver dollar and twice as heavy.

Harry, I never would have found what I did if I didn't have alot of time to do it..I only worked part time last year with a lawn service I ran, and I also had an understanding wife who allowed me to spend time doing it..I am lucky to have had the opportunity to find what I did and also enjoy doing what I love to do. That may change soon, but until then I hunt whenever I can get the chance.

Thanks all for the comments,
Nat
