Today I got about an hour block of time to myself. So I hopped in the jeep and headed to a site that I'd nailed pretty hard in the past few months. Only this time I was running the DFX at full blast....everything peaked right out. I was very happy to dig this button at 9-10 inches deep. This is my first tombac with the shank still intact. Awesome. I start work tommorow so I won't be able to post as much. I know its only a button, but I'm thrilled to death with it.

you would love just an hour in a few of my fields then, these are everywhere in the UK, I now only keep the ones with design's on :icon_thumright: But I do understand this a good old find for the US, & leads to better finds from the site.

I consider a large Tombac button a good find :icon_thumleft: CRUSADER is correct about this meaning that you are onto a good spot.

Nice find Sniffy :icon_thumleft:. As Cru says we find quite a few of these over here, but I've yet to find a big one with the shank still intact.

Congrats Sniffy. Going to miss drooling over your posts every day. Take care.

Way to sniff out that nice old button Sniffy ! Hit and runs can be productive. I think it is the sense of urgency that heightens our spider senses !! MaineRelic
