one gallon glass BOTTLE!!!

Plan on making a bottle lamp!
It’s starting to get a little scary heavy!
Inside the bottle are pennies nickels dimes and maybe a few really worn out quarters!
Quarters are in the plastic cup

Just about one year later and I’m getting close to filling the 1 gallon glass bottle I plan on making into a lamp😂🏴‍☠️
The 1 gallon glass jug is filled with pennies, nickels, and dimes!
Anybody have any advice on how to dump the environmentally trashed quarters I probably have about six to $700 worth🤔😭

Nice. I run mine through a coin counter at the local credit union. Depending on condition 50% or so come back out the reject tray. Rerun those will get a few more gone. The rest I sprinkle in to cash purchases.

Ha ha the last time I used a Coinstar I broke it. They fixed it, and I broke it again. 🤓

I have a suitcase full of MD coin finds (50% cents) that are too shot to easily spend, so it is going to be a very heavy gift to a grand Nephew and I'll let him figure it out!

I tried to fill a big glass water jug with coins and the bottom of the jug cracked and broke. It was one of those old 5 gallon water jugs, but I only had about 6 inches of coins in it. Went to pick it up and move it and the bottom stayed and the coins spilled around the broken base.

The US Treasury used to have a program to take back damaged coins but that program was suspended several years ago in 2015...BUT upon doing a search it seems they later resumed it in 2018 but then later suspended the program again.
It seems they still have a program for damaged bills through the US Bureau Of Engraving and Printing as long as you have at least half of the bill.

I can't find on the US mint website saying where they suspended the coin program again but I did find info on Apmex.com
